So as of late, I’ve been practicing using my Wacom Bamboo tablet to sketch and trace just so I can be comfortable with drawing digitally. Understanding the pressure and different strokes being applied is important because drawing on a tablet is much more different than what I have been used to such as a pencil and paper. I think I definitely have a better handle of it now so I wanted to paint in some of my sketches. Here are a couple I did last week.

Like before, my friend approached me to help him figure out how to put together his ecommerce site. Rather than building it from scratch, he was looking for a professional web designer. I told him that he should look into one of the Yahoo! Business sites as it had a fairly decent shopping cart built in. It isn’t much but it serves its purpose of selling auto parts whether old, new, OEM or aftermarket. He trying to unload his mass inventory of auto parts since his family operates a auto wrecking yard. Here is a link to it: LPD Auto Parts online store.
He also wanted my to help him with some images and getting some products published. I guess the Yahoo! Business site is not as intuitive as advertised but I figured some of it out. Here’s my attempt making a logo slash... Continue Reading...

Take a look at this photo mural that expands for a hundred meters. It is titled “We’re All Gonna Die“. I found it interestingly unique and fascinating as it was shot from the same location over a span of twenty days. There are some interesting expressions put together.
I particularly found the two people with the eye patches (one with it over their right eye and the other over their left) to be funny. I wonder if the shot was taken at the same time of a couple or if it was pieced together through thousands of photos taken in those twenty days. Regardless, I found it interestingly enough to share and put my thoughts on it.
What do you think about it?

Last night, I read an article about Google’s attempt to make a foot print in China, the largest up and coming consumer nation. Goolge will offer one million music free downloads to the people living in China with an IP originating from China. If you are not living in China, I guess you are out of luck. They will generate revenue through advertisements as people download the music by visiting the website. This is awesome but I don’t think this will do anything about combating piracy in China, where supposedly, 90% of all music is obtained illegally.
The funny thing to me is that music artists cry about the fact that making music is unprofitable. Some may even give up making music. Sure, piracy is bad but don’t musicians do it for the love and talent? If your... Continue Reading...
